YSL Rouge Paradoxe (21) The Slim Velvet Radical Matte Lipstick ($ 39.00 for 0.08 oz.) Is a medium red with neutral to cool undertones and a matte finish. The texture was light, velvety, and smooth with moderate density, but never felt thick or heavy, and I found it to be pretty forgiving of lip texture and lip lines. It had an opaque pigmentation that lasted well for six and a half hours, leaving a stain, and becoming slightly hydrated over time.

The formula is said to have “full coverage” with “long-lasting semi-matte color” that provides “creamy comfort”. They were very pigmented with a moderately dense, velvety consistency that was creamy without slipping. The substance / density of the product has helped the product sit smoother on my lips and make them less prone to accentuating the lip texture and settling in my lip lines.
The lipsticks were comfortable to apply, and while the diamond-shaped lipstick was unusual, I didn’t find it difficult to work with. Most shades lasted at least five hours, some shades lasted six to seven hours with some stains on the back. The formula felt slightly moisturizing over time. They had a fruity, floral scent, but no noticeable taste.

YSL True Chili (28) The Slim Velvet Radical Matte Lipstick ($ 39.00 for 0.08 oz.) Is a deep coppery red with warm undertones and a satin finish. It had an almost opaque paint release in a single layer that was applied evenly to my lips and deposited color that smoothed my lip lines and was forgiving of texture errors.
The lipstick had a more velvety consistency that was denser to the touch, but it was light and comfortable to work with and wear. It lasted well for six hours, left a faint stain, and was slightly moisturizing when worn.
