Is a rich, deep red with warm undertones and a matte finish. It had opaque color coverage in a single layer that was applied evenly to my lips and didn’t emphasize my lip texture. The consistency was light, smooth and, when gliding, it was more velvety than emollient, so that it never tore when applied, but rather adhered particularly well. This shade lasted well over seven hours, staining, and not drying.

The formula is said to be “weightless” and “non-drying”, which “lasts all day” with a “highly pigmented, matt color”. The texture has a smooth, velvety consistency – it was easy to apply but didn’t feel wet or traditionally creamy, more like a silicone-based primer. Most of the shades were applied evenly, didn’t separate along the contours of my lips, and were light and comfortable to wear.
The pigmentation was mostly opaque to opaque, and the color range appeared to pull more mid-tones and deeper tones with a significant number of reds. As a result, numerous shades lasted six hours or more, with red-based shades leaving very strong stains (my lips were often pink to fuchsia for the next day as well!). Some shades seemed to go on and on because of the color itself and the underlying coloring power! The formula didn’t dry out as promised.
The diamond shaped bullet may take a time or two to get the hang of it, but I didn’t find it difficult to use at all. The triangular tip has proven itself particularly well to obtain a sharper cupid’s bow shape if desired. The formula had a floral scent that was barely noticeable when applied and no noticeable taste.
