YSL Red Urge (306) The Slim Velvet Radical Matte Lipstick ($ 39.00 for 0.08 oz.) Is a medium dark orange-red with warm undertones and a satin finish. It had almost opaque paint coverage in a single layer that was evenly and comfortably applied to my lips in one smooth motion.
The texture was light, smooth, and velvety, which gave it a denser (though not thick or heavy) feel when initially applied. It lasted well for six hours, left a faint stain, and was slightly moisturizing when worn.

The formula is said to have “full coverage” with “long-lasting semi-matte color” that provides “creamy comfort”. They were very pigmented with a moderately dense, velvety consistency that was creamy without slipping. The substance / density of the product has helped the product sit smoother on my lips and make them less prone to accentuating the lip texture and getting stuck in my lip lines.
The lipsticks were comfortable to apply, and while the diamond-shaped lipstick was unusual, I didn’t find it difficult to work with. Most shades lasted at least five hours, some shades lasted six to seven hours with some stains on the back. The formula felt slightly moisturizing over time. They had a fruity, floral scent, but no noticeable taste.

YSL Fiery Spice (307) The Slim Velvet Radical Matte Lipstick ($ 39.00 for 0.08 oz.) Is a deep red with warmer undertones and a semi-matte finish. It was richly pigmented with color that applied evenly to my lips, forgiving lip texture and lip lines.
The consistency felt more velvety and glides on without feeling traditionally creamy / wet. It wore well for six and a half hours, leaving a slight stain and slightly moisturizing over time.
