Orange Desires (33)
YSL Orange Desire (33) Rouge Pur Couture The slim, matt lipstick YSL Orange Desire (33) Rouge Pur Couture The slim, matt lipstick ($ 39.00 for 0.08 oz.) Is a lighter, medium orange-red with subtle, warm undertones and a satin finish. It had mostly opaque, buildable paint coverage paired with a smooth, velvety consistency that felt like it slid smoothly over my lips, but very light and a little thin (without being clingy). It has been wearing well for five and a half hours and has not felt dry or moisturized over time.

Formula overview
$ 39.00 / 0.08 oz. – $ 487.50 per ounce
The formula is said to be “weightless” and “non-drying”, which “lasts all day” with a “highly pigmented, matt color”. The texture has a smooth, velvety consistency – it was easy to apply but didn’t feel wet or traditionally creamy, more like a silicone-based primer. Most of the shades were applied evenly, didn’t separate along the contours of my lips, and were light and comfortable to wear.
The pigmentation was mostly opaque to opaque, and the color range appeared to pull more middle and deeper tones with a significant number of reds. As a result, numerous shades lasted six hours or more, with red-based shades leaving very strong stains (my lips were often pink to fuchsia for the next day as well!). Some shades seemed to go on and on because of the color itself and the underlying coloring power! The formula didn’t dry out as promised.
The diamond shaped bullet may take a time or two to get the hang of it, but I didn’t find it difficult to use at all. The triangular tip has proven itself particularly well to obtain a sharper cupid’s bow shape if desired. The formula had a floral scent that was barely noticeable when applied and no noticeable taste.

Dare To Blush (32)
YSL Dare to Rouge (32) Rouge Pur Couture The slim matt lipstickYSL Dare to Rouge (32) Rouge Pur Couture The slim matt lipstick ($ 39.00 for 0.08 oz.) Is a deep, coppery red with subtle, warm undertones and a satin finish. It had a bit more shine to begin with than others in the series, though it wore off to a matte finish within an hour or so. The lipstick had full pigmentation in one layer that stuck evenly and smoothly on my lips while forgiving lip texture / lip lines. It lasted a good six and a half hours and didn’t feel drying out.
