YSL Nude Protest (30) Rouge Pur Couture The slim matte lipstick YSL Nude Protest (30) Rouge Pur Couture The slim matte lipstick ($ 39.00 for 0.08 oz.) Is a medium-dark copper with moderate, warm undertones and a mostly matte finish. It had rich pigmentation in a single stroke that provided an even color that didn’t emphasize my natural lip texture.
The lipstick felt smooth, velvety, and light, with a thinner consistency that didn’t stick but didn’t slide around at all while wearing. It stayed on well for over seven hours, left a moderate stain, and felt neither dry nor moisturizing when worn.

The formula should be “weightless” and “non-drying” and “stay there all day” with a “highly pigmented matt color”. The texture has a smooth, velvety consistency – it slipped on easily but didn’t feel wet or traditionally creamy, more like a silicone-based primer. Most of the colors were applied evenly, didn’t separate along my lip lines, and were light and comfortable to wear.
The pigmentation was mostly opaque to opaque, and the color range appeared to pull more midtone and deeper with a reasonable number of red-based hues. As a result, numerous shades lasted six hours or more, with red-based shades leaving very heavy stains (even by the next day, my lips were often pink to fuchsia!). Some shades seemed to go on and on due to the color itself and the underlying coloring power! As promised, the formula was non-drying.
The diamond shaped ball can be used a time or two to get the hang of it, but I didn’t find it difficult to use at all. The triangular point worked particularly well to give the arch shape of a sharper cupid if desired. The formula had a floral scent that was barely noticeable when switched on, and no discernible taste.

Is a light, peach-colored coral with warmer undertones and a matte finish. For the lighter shade and very matte, velvety texture, it was applied pretty well compared to similar colors I tried, but it parted a little along my deeper lip lines. it was less likely to get caught on the texture than I would have thought.
It had opaque color coverage in a single layer, coupled with a smooth, velvety feel that was light, thin, but non-sticky, and comfortable to wear. This shade lasted well for five hours and did not feel drying over time.
