These days I try not to pay full price for most things, but I will if I want it badly enough. I’m pretty self-indulgent in this regard and not as good at delayed gratification as unfortunately I should be. There are a couple of brands that I just won’t do, usually because they are sold quite a lot.

Colourpop – every now and then there is a new release that I really want and they seem so random as to whether something is permanent, limited, limited, but replenished, etc. And even permanent is pretty meaningless to them. Even so, they have sales almost as often as releases, so despite their fairly low price, I never try to buy full price.

theBalm – they also have frequent sales with very high discounts. Good products that are worth full price, but because of the frequency of their sale, it doesn’t make sense

Zoya (nail polish) – they have two 50% or BOGO sales a year and generally at least two other not-so-steep sales in between, so I’ll wait.

Sunday Riley – I only have a product or two that I like and I’ll pick them up when they’re on sale, but otherwise I’ll find cheaper alternatives because it’s just too expensive for what it is

Pat McGrath – Just too expensive to pay full price, as beautiful as her things are.
