The price is excessive, but if one is patient and vigilant there are plenty of offers and discounts available. I love their lipsticks and only paid over $ 9 for two or three of them.

I am deeply annoyed that the eyeshadow pans are glued in: I understand that they are aimed at some sort of “This is a perfected arrangement” but that is (a) unnecessarily presumptuous, (b) kind of condescending, and (c) shouldn’t be on that Singles apply who are also glued into their goofy little seashells.

The packaging is extensive. I usually like it as it puts you in a good mood, but it affects portability, ease of storage, and of course, price. I don’t like that the umbrellas aren’t labeled, but I use an extra thin gold paint pen to simply label them myself. It is often unclear how transparently a shade is applied and whether it is metallic or glittering. Maybe I’ll come up with little symbols and add them next to the written names.

The shipping packaging is more than a little too much. I now have so much black tissue paper and a whole jar of gold sequins. Not as bad as when I ordered a single lipstick from mac and it came in a box made of tissue paper in a larger box made of tissue paper, in another box big enough for a pair of hiking boots, but at least. Something like that doesn’t feel so luxurious, but like conspicuous consumption.
