VETERANS will have to wait until April 14th to receive their stimulus checks – over a month after President Joe Biden signed the Relief Act.
Payments are routed to veterinarians who receive pensions and benefits but typically don’t file a tax return, a statement from the IRS said.

“If there are no additional issues, the IRS is expected to start processing these VA payment files by the end of this week,” it said.
Veterans can use the online Get My Payment tool until next weekend to track the status of their checks.
However, there have been problems with the distribution of checks to low-income people.
The IRS created a simple online form that low-income individuals who normally did not have to file tax returns could use to provide their contact information to the agency, CNN reported.
However, that handy tool is now gone.

Those who used the non-filer tool before it went offline can get their stimulus payments without filing their 2020 tax returns.
But those who haven’t used the tool before can’t.
