FRANCIS NGANNOU insists he’s tired of borrowing money and gestured to switch to boxing.
The UFC star referred to the mega-dollars that heavyweight icons Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder pocketed last weekend.

Boxing’s superstar couple have grossed at least £ 18 million EACH for their trilogy showdown.
The Fury and Wilder’s disclosed wallets – which will be released later this week by the Nevada Athletic Commission – are estimated to have been £ 4.4 million ($ 6 million) and £ 2.9 million (US $ 4 million), respectively Dollars).
However, the duo has already been contractually guaranteed a minimum of £ 18million for the third showdown.
It’s far fetched for Ngannou, who complained about how much he makes in his sport.
The 35-year-old, who still has a fight on his UFC contract, told MMA Hour: “MMA is harder than boxing.
“I feel like I don’t have to borrow any money for my training camp.

“At some point I’ll go after the money. I go to boxing for sure. I am not challenging the system, I am just saying my rights.
“I haven’t signed a new contract yet because I don’t want to sign a contract on these specific terms because I don’t feel protected.
“For the past two years I’ve had to borrow money and nobody cares and I have no guarantee on this deal.
“So based on that experience, I’m trying to get better terms on my contract and what I think I deserve.
“According to what they said I have an independent contract so I want a canceled date so I can be free afterward.
“After that I want to be free, then you have the right to decide where you are going and what you are going to do.
“I am then not forced to continue to sign the contract (with the date of termination), so it is not a separate contract.
“If you say I’ll challenge the system, I’ll have a hard time getting out right now, but I can assure you I won’t.”
Ngannou-Star defeated Stipe Miocic in March and landed in the UFC heavyweight belt.
He is expected to face interim champion Cyril Gane at UFC 270 in a unification match in January 2022.
But with his wild clout and the lure of extra cash, it might not be long before we see the Cameroonian hero laced in boxing gloves – and maybe even a challenge for the belt.
PAYMENT PROBLEMS
Ngannou isn’t the first UFC star to complain about the franchise’s payment system.
Sean O’Malley criticized boss Dana White for his salary and wants to be paid “what he’s worth”.
The 26-year-old bantamweight is said to have received a base salary of $ 60,000 for his fight against Thomas Almedia in March.
Light heavyweight Jon Jones is currently involved in a salary dispute with the promotion and has not been fighting since February 2020.
And Jake Paul also criticized White for the problem after the UFC chief placed a $ 1 million bet on the YouTuber losing to Ben Askren in a boxing match.
Paul said, “In my third fight, I made more money overall than any fighter in UFC history.
“Perhaps it is time to pay your fighters their fair share? No wonder they all want to start boxing.”
