The microblogging platform Twitter suffered a massive outage that eventually prevented users from tweeting or posting their messages.
Users complained about the outage and were quite frustrated for some time. Now it’s back to normal, however, and the outage was mostly confined to the US. Twitter confirmed the bug and said it had managed to fix the bug. However, some users still report that the topic still prevails on the social media platform.
A Twitter user named “disqus_267xLPlTv6” posted a message on Downdetector saying, “Does anyone else get the message” Please enter your phone number “when trying to sign in? It just started for me today.”
Meanwhile, another person named “hn” posted this message: “I can’t log into my pc web, does anyone have the same problem?”
The DownDetector website said, “User reports show no recent problems on Twitter.”
Twitter was offline for a while on August 27th. The problem has been faced by Midwestern cities, including Michigan.
