1. The 100 Envelopes Challenge
This popular hack launched social media because it is such a simple and effective approach to saving money.
At best, you can save £ 5,000 in just 100 days or stretch it over the year.
The idea was explained by Invest with Mon on TikTok, who said to write the numbers 1-100 on separate envelopes.

Write the numbers 1-100 on the envelopes, pull one out each day and save the amount indicated on the front
Then randomly pick one each day (or change it to twice a week if you prefer).
Whatever you pull out of it is the amount of money you save – it really is that simple.
For example, if you choose the envelope numbered 6, you will have to save € 6.
If you pull 98 out, that’s the amount you’ll save for the day.

Nowadays it is more common to use your phone or card to make payments, but if you are facing a money challenge it is still a great way to unknowingly save a fortune.
Jess Smith, TikTok user, shared the idea online, saying to keep a jar, box or can to hold extra money or coins – be it 50p or 10 pounds.
Only when it is full do you count it or at the end of the time frame you allowed and you will be surprised how much it will build up.
3. The final number challenge

Check your bank balance every day and transfer the last figure indicated in the total to your savings account
The TikTok user, the Budget Bros Podcast, demonstrated this hack on the platform, and while the sums seem minimal, they definitely add up.
At the end of each day, look at your account balance and transfer the final figure of the total shown to your savings account.
For example, if you have a total of £ 756.69 in your bank account at the end of the day, transfer £ 9 towards your savings.
In the clip, the American had saved $ 25 by the end of the week, which may not seem like much, but it will be $ 1,248 a year.
Of course, this method works with any currency.
