New Delhi: According to Facebook boss Mark Zuckerberg, WhatsApp users will get a great feature in the form of multi-device support later this year. Reports have detailed the progress this company has made in developing this feature over the past few months. According to a new report, WhatsApp has started rolling out its multi-device capability to a restricted group of users.

According to WABetaInfo, Meta’s own messaging service has started offering WhatsApp users multi-device support. The catch is that this only applies to WhatsApp beta users with Android versions 2.21.23.10 and 2.21.23.

According to the blog site, WhatsApp started rolling out a new feature about three months ago that would allow you to use WhatsApp on connected devices without an active internet connection on your main phone. During the first month, beta testers were able to take part in the multi-device beta, which enabled them to use WhatsApp on up to four connected devices and one smartphone at the same time. Beta testers using stable versions of WhatsApp were able to try out multiple devices after a while. At this point, however, not all beta testers were able to use the function. The multi-device functionality of WhatsApp is now available to all Android beta users with version 2.21.23.10 of the app.

In particular, some beta testers using version 2.21.19.9 of the software had access to the feature. The option to opt out of the multi-device beta program has now been withdrawn from WhatsApp. The line “Multi-Device Beta” has disappeared, which means that customers who have chosen this feature will no longer be able to exit the Multi-Device Beta program.

“If you haven’t joined the multi-device beta and the changes were also applied to your WhatsApp account, this update has signed out all of your linked devices so you can reconnect them using the auto-activated multi-device beta for yours WhatsApp account, “WhatsApp explained to those who weren’t in beta. This was announced on a WhatsApp blog which also stated that the feature will be rolled out for some WhatsApp beta users on Apple iOS. However, this function is currently only available to a few iOS beta testers. A major rollout is planned for the near future.

In addition, WhatsApp has started to provide a new user interface for contact information for a limited group of users of its desktop beta version. Currently, WhatsApp Web’s contact information interface includes a search bar and menu that allows users to mute notifications, leave groups, and select messages, among other things. WhatsApp is now updating its user interface to include calling options for both video and audio calls. The messaging software has now introduced tools that allow users to change the “Incoming Call Ringtone” and “Disable All Incoming Desktop Calls”. This gives you more control over your call notifications

This user interface is identical to that of WhatsApp Beta for Android and WhatsApp Beta for iOS. According to the blog, it will introduce the new notification options and layout for WhatsApp Desktop beta users who have updated to the latest version.
