A new hack on your iPhone can turn it into a foolproof snooping device. But there’s a catch: you’ll need a pair of wireless AirPods. The trick is first shared by a user on TikTok and then broadcast across all social media platforms. This trick allows users to turn their iPhones into spy devices by playing with settings they already have.
The trick requires users to access their iPhone’s accessibility settings. To do this, you need to go to the control center settings and then click on the “+” function. After that, you can view a list of the features that are enabled in your phone’s control center.
Then you need to connect your wireless AirPods to the iPhone. Then the option “Live Listen” must be activated. Once activated, users can listen to available broadcasts received by the phone’s microphone and broadcast directly to AirPods. The person needs to hold their phone close to what they are trying to hear, which can then be easily heard on their AirPods.
What was the function developed for?
Contrary to popular belief, the feature is not only there to make sniffing easier, it also enables users with hearing impairments to hear clearly, especially if they don’t have their own hearing aids. Essentially, the feature improves the audio quality for people with hearing problems.

The trick was first shared by a TikTok user @Brycenor who was asked a question on the platform: “What is information that feels illegal to know?” He responded by sharing information about the Live Listen feature and saying, “I don’t think it should be illegal, but it’s dodgy.”
