The Coachella Valley Economic Partnership is again sponsoring the annual Fast Pitch Greater Palm Springs competition designed to support entrepreneurs in Coachella Valley looking to grow their businesses.

The competition will take place on April 14th at the Mary Pickford Theater in Cathedral City from 11:00 am to 2:00 am and is a competition in which entrepreneurs present their business ideas to a jury. The winner will receive $ 1,000 in business services and expert coaching, along with the opportunity to compete later at the county level and win a $ 10,000 prize.

“This competition is designed to highlight innovation in our region,” said Laura James, vice president of innovation at CVEP. “And while they think Greater Palm Springs is a leisure community, we know there is so much more innovation happening here. Highlighting our region’s innovators as part of a highly visible, nationwide competition helps us break the stereotype of the valley as a mere golf and retirement destination. ”

The application deadline for the local competition is Monday 5th April.
