New South Wales residents get free cash to spend in restaurants, cafes and bars, as well as entertainment and recreation, with two new Dine and Discover vouchers, which will fall in time for summer.
Millions of residents will receive a cash injection just in time for the summer, with the New South Wales government announcing that two additional Dine and Discover vouchers will be rolled out starting Friday.
Treasurer Matt Kean said the two $ 25 vouchers to be used in venues across the state will ensure NSW ends on a “bang” in 2021 and provide a much-needed boost to businesses after the COVID-19 lockdowns .
New applicants to the program will receive three Dine NSW and three Discover NSW vouchers, while existing customers will receive one each.
“The NSW government’s $ 250 million expansion of Dine and Discover, announced as part of our $ 2.8 million economic recovery package, will help our local businesses grow and prosper this summer thrive, ”said Kean.
“More than 15,000 businesses and 4.8 million customers have already signed up for the Dine and Discover NSW program, using nearly $ 276 million in vouchers to date.”
Minister for Digital and Customer Service Victor Dominello said the additional coupons would automatically appear in the Service NSW app via SMS or email for existing digital customers.
The new vouchers, which will appear from Friday, will be delivered in full to the eligible residents by the beginning of December.
“Whether it’s going out to dinner, seeing a live show, or visiting a wildlife park, we’re helping more and more people explore our great garden while supporting companies that made it tough this year,” said Dominello.
Participating registered businesses will not need to register again, while those wishing to join the program will be encouraged to enroll now.
NSW residents ages 18 and older who have yet to apply will be able to do so by the end of the program and will receive all six $ 25 vouchers.
The vouchers can be redeemed seven days a week, including public holidays, and are valid until June 30th, 2022.

The NSW government created Dine and Discover NSW to encourage the community to be on the go and support food, arts, and leisure businesses.
NSW residents 18 and over may apply for 6 vouchers valued at $ 25 for a total of $ 150.
