Many cashback credit cards are like these fast food ads with huge burgers oozing with juice. You buy one only to find that the real product looked more like a deflated balloon. They can promise a super generous 15 percent cashback until you read the fine print and find it is capped at $ 10 per month. Pfft.
If you have a big budget, like a wedding dinner or a new car, this cashback cap will cut the edge of your style like an overprotective mom in the playground.
Unless you can find a credit card that gives you unlimited cashback, which means you can spend as much as you want knowing that you will be rewarded for every penny.
Here are the unlimited cashback cards we found with no minimum spend and no caps.

1. Citi Cash Back + Mastercard
Not to be confused with the Citi Cash Back card, the “+” symbol at the end of the Citi Cash Back + card makes a big difference.
Unlike its “plusless” counterpart, which has a minimum spend requirement of $ 800 per month, the Citi Cash Back + Card doesn’t have to meet any minimum spend or complex requirements to earn cashback.
However, this does not mean that there are no exclusions on the type of spend in order to be eligible for cashback! Your bills or insurance premiums do not qualify.
However, if you stick to the eligible categories – groceries, online shopping, restaurants, and other forms of regular retail spending – you will be rewarded with unlimited 1.6 percent cashback on all of those expenses.
The Citi Cash Back + Card includes a welcome gift of up to 4.5 percent cashback in the first three months. This is good for up to $ 5,000 in expenses, and cashback is capped at $ 225.
2. Standard Chartered Unlimited Cashback Credit Card
Stancharts Unlimited Cashback Credit Card is the card that you need to sign up for if you want to spend a bomb.
This credit card gives you up to $ 250 upfront cash and 1.5 percent cashback. There is no limit to how much 1.5 percent cashback you can accumulate.
This card also entitles you to promotions under StanChart’s The Good Life program, which offers a wide range of accommodation and dining options around town.
We also like the two year annual fee waiver. That’s one less thing to worry about when applying for this card at MoneySmart for the giveaways. (Come on, admit you’re tempted.)
3. American Express real money cashback card
The American Express True Cashback Card was one of the first straightforward, unlimited cashback cards on the market.
This credit card gives you 3 percent cashback for the first six months of membership, up to an issue value of $ 5,000.
So it pays to wait and then register before an expensive phase in life begins, such as moving to a new home or giving birth to a baby.
After you hit the $ 5,000 spending cap or 6 month mark, you’ll earn the usual 1.5 percent rate. However, there is no limit to how much 1.5 percent cashback you can accumulate.
This cashback also applies to almost anything you could possibly spend, including generally excluded expenses such as insurance premiums or bill payments – assuming they accept Amex, of course.
4. UOB Absolute Cashback Card
The UOB Absolute Cashback Card offers unlimited cashback of 1.7 percent with practically no spending exclusions. This means that insurance premiums, school fees, e-wallet top-ups, utility bills and even rental payments are all included in the cashback benefit.
But, and that is a very big but, the card is an American Express card. It may be the third largest card association in the world – but it still plays third fiddle behind Visa and Mastercard in Singapore. You are less likely to find smaller retailers that will accept this card.
The welcome bonus is fine and offers 8 percent (max $ 120) additional bonus cashback if you hit an spend value of $ 1,500 by December 31, 2021.
That being said, it’s an amazing card to use for everyday use as opposed to a large ticket item. You will likely earn more cashback with this card than with the others!
5. Maybank FC Barcelona Visa Signature Card
Whether you are a soccer fan or not, this Maybank FC Barcelona Visa Signature Card with a random name is a pretty good unlimited cashback card to consider.
The 1.6 percent cashback rate you get with this card is pretty attractive. However, it lacks a welcome offer like the other cards on this list.
You don’t have to be a fan of FC Barcelona to sign up, but there are perks for football lovers, such as the chance to win a trip for two to see FC Barcelona live every season of football. However, with no information on when to resume travel, it is unlikely that you will benefit from it anytime soon.
