If you’re interested in gadgets, you almost certainly know the term “Gorilla Glass”. This tempered glass was used in road vehicles and makes car enthusiasts familiar with the term. Jeep’s Performance Parts Division (JPP) has introduced gorilla glass windshields for its Wrangler SUV and Gladiator pickup truck models and is currently available in the US and Canada. JPP’s new windshield is made of Corning Gorilla Glass. It is said to be made using the same chemical amplification technology as a smartphone’s screen.

Its durability is guaranteed by the fact that Mopar combines an ultra-thin gorilla glass inner layer with a 52% thicker outer layer. Both the Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator have upright windshields that reduce the panel’s ability to deflect attacks from rocks. Both jeeps are regularly used off-road, which makes them prone to falling rocks in dangerous off-road environments.

Standard gorilla glass windshields for Jeep Wranglers (2018-present) and current generation gladiators are $ 793 and are available from Jeep dealers and some glass installers. The Gorilla Glass windshield is also available for the previous generation Wrangler JK (2007-2018) and costs $ 645.

Other windshield options are also being introduced. The Gorilla Glass Windshield with Embedded Antenna is priced at $ 820. Another variant including a front camera and heating costs 927 US dollars. Finally, variants with front cameras, heating and antennas are listed for $ 932.

The Gorilla Glass windshield is backed by a two-year limited (from the date of installation) and unlimited mileage warranty from Mopar. In addition to the Gorilla Glass brand’s typical Gorilla head artwork, the replacement windshield also features a characteristic Jeep Easter egg.
