BERNIE Sanders condemned President Joe Biden on Saturday for giving fewer Americans Covid aid than the Trump administration.
The 79-year-old Vermont Senator’s comment comes after Joe Biden’s new budget plan for Covid of $ 1.9 trillion was passed in the Senate Friday morning.

Shortly thereafter, with a vote near the party line, the House approved the Senate’s budget resolution.
Sander’s criticism comes after President Biden vowed to “act quickly” to get Americans to $ 1,400 in stimulus checks.
However, according to reports, the aid will be limited to those with certain incomes.
Sanders tweeted Saturday night, “Unbelievable. There are some Dems looking to cut direct payment eligibility from $ 75,000 to $ 50,000 for individuals and $ 150,000 to $ 100,000 for couples.
“In other words, workers who got checks from Trump wouldn’t get them from Biden. Awesome!”
About 20 minutes later, Sanders went to another Twitter account to further express his opposition to the third relief plan – which will likely only help lower-income Americans.
“I strongly oppose lowering the direct payments eligibility from $ 75,000 to $ 50,000 for individuals and from $ 150,000 to $ 100,000 for couples,” Sanders wrote.
“During these tough times, ALL workers make the full $ 1,400.
“The last time I heard was that someone who makes $ 55,000 a year is not ‘rich’.”

In the first two rounds of the Covid aid payments, a larger number of people were able to receive the stimulus checks.
Taxpayers earning up to $ 75,000 and couples earning less than $ 150,000 were eligible for the first round of $ 1,400 checks and the second round of $ 600 checks.
Under the Democrats’ latest proposal, the $ 1,400 third round of economic reviews would only be sent to taxpayers earning up to $ 50,000, the Washington Post reported.
Heads of household earning up to $ 75,000 annually are also eligible, as are married couples earning up to $ 100,000 in total.
Partial payments can be made to taxpayers whose income is slightly above these numbers.
Tax policy specialist Kyle Pomerleau told the news agency that approximately 71 percent of US taxpayers would receive the maximum amount of money.
Another 17 percent of Americans would receive the partial payments.

The president has vowed to “act quickly” to get Americans the third installment of stimulus checks.
During a press conference on Friday, Biden told reporters that he would not delay sending out stimulus payments.
“I’ll act quickly,” he said. “I will help the Americans who are now injured.”
Biden also confirmed that aid payments would not be cut.

The Democrats plan to push a package similar to Biden’s $ 1.9 trillion economic aid proposal – all signs point to a bill being signed in the coming weeks.
