(Reuters) – Spotify Technology SA will enable its employees to work from anywhere, the Swedish music streaming company said in a blog post on Friday in order to further improve the future of modern working life.
With the shift of work to cloud-based systems and the online meeting of meetings, the offices have adapted to a remote working lifestyle as vaccinations could still take up the better half of the year.
Spotify’s move is in line with several tech companies planning to keep some of the new ways of working that emerged during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Salesforce.com Inc and Twitter Inc have already switched to hybrid or permanent remote working models.
The company, which is evaluating its office space worldwide, saw its paid subscribers spike during the pandemic, reaching 155 million in the fourth quarter.
