Backer confidence voted overwhelmingly in favor of the deal in November, and the takeover was approved on Friday.
In a statement, the Trust said: “Both parties will now work to officially complete the sale of shares in Wrexham AFC next week.
“We would like to thank the supporters for their patience in this process and assure you that the Wrexham Supporters Trust will make a full statement once this is complete.”
Contracts were swapped in January, but McElhenney and Reynolds are already donating money to bolster Wrexham’s roster.
Update: The takeover of @Wrexham_AFC is still not 100% official and unfortunately the handover does not appear to be complete before the transfer window closes. So Ryan and I made a donation to the club so they (we? 🙏) can take some steps. Up in town! #WrexhamIsTheName
