According to a source near Buckingham Palace, Prince Philip left money in his will to his three key helpers

While most of his estate was likely left to the Queen, a source near Buckingham Palace claimed the Duke rewarded his closest aides as well.

“Unlike some other royals, Prince Philip will be generous to the three men who took care of him,” the insider told Fabulous exclusively.

“These include his private secretary, Brigadier Archie Miller Bakewell, his side William Henderson, and valet Stephen Niedojadlo.”

All three men were very supportive of the Duke in his final years, and Mr. Bakewell often stood up for Philip when he could not get engaged.

Henderson and Niedojadio took turns during his stay at Wood Farm on the Sandringham Estate, and Henderson was with him during his last two days in Windsor.

The insider alleged that Philip’s grandchildren, including Prince Harry, who has carried out a number of devastating attacks on the royal family in recent months, will have been “weeded out” in terms of money.

They said, “Philip was not the kind of character to punish a grandson [Harry] for bad behavior. He was a very fair, balanced and kind man. Never had a grudge. “

They added, “Philip had plenty of time to clear all legal issues so that inheritance tax would not be incurred. He was no more a fan of giving his money to the Treasury Department than anyone else. “

The source added that the dukes’ children – Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Edward and Prince Andrew – were told they could “take whatever they want” from his collection of 13,000 books in his library at Buckingham Palace.

Most of the books were moved to Wood Farm, Sandringham, where Philip had spent much of his time since retiring from public life, but all were returned to Buckingham Palace.

The insider added that upon returning from the hospital, Philip spent some time signing photos of himself, which were framed with his cipher, presumably intended as gifts for those who looked after him.

A Buckingham Palace spokesman told Fabulous Digital, “This is a personal matter for the family and therefore the arrangements are private.”

Prince Philip was born penniless on a Corfu kitchen table and slept in an orange box.

When he married the Queen in 1947, the Duke of Edinburgh’s naval income was only £ 11 a week.

In 1969, he went on US television to speak out for the poverty of the royals and said they might have to sell a polo pony or two.

However, prior to his death, Philip received £ 359,000 annually from the Sovereign Grant.

Even so, a palace insider revealed that it was “not enough” and that the Queen had to add it.

Much of its assets were jointly owned by the Queen and she will now take full ownership of them. The Duke reportedly invested in stocks and expensive works of art.

David McClure, who published a book on the monarch’s finances, The Queen’s True Worth, last year, told i News, “The most efficient way is to pass it on spouse to spouse. If he left all his fortune to the queen, it would be there no tax to pay on it.

“The royal family keeps it in the family when it comes to inheritance. Traditionally, they pass it on to the next in line.”

Smaller, more personal items are likely passed on to family members, including his horse-drawn carriages inherited from his granddaughter, Lady Louise Windsor.

He is also said to have left valuable mementos of Robert Falcon Scott on his unfortunate 1912 expedition to the South Pole especially for Charles.

However, since then the royal family has chosen to hide their will.

A Labor peer, Lord Berkeley, has called for transparency on the will over fears that details of the king’s personal property will be kept secret.

Attorney General Lord Wolfson said representatives of a deceased could request that a will be closed for public scrutiny if it was “undesirable or otherwise inappropriate”.

Royal finance expert David McClure called for transparency, saying, “If it’s good enough for all citizens, why shouldn’t it be good enough for the royal family?”

“The reason you have testamentary transparency is to protect you from fraud. It is a universal principle as fraud can go on in estates. “
