Pop Smoke was remembered on his birthday after rappers were warned to “keep their money off social media” following his homicide murder.
The star, who was shot after two masked men broke into the LA house he rented last February, would have turned 22 on Tuesday.

Fans took to Twitter to celebrate and mourn the rapper, whose real name was Bashar Barakah Jackson.
They also hosted the second annual Pop Smoke Day Parade in Brooklyn on Tuesday.
World star Hip Hop wrote: “Today we remember the life of #PopSmoke on his birthday.
“Our thoughts and prayers continue with his family and friends.”
Many fans shared pictures of Pop Smoke, with one writing, “Happy Birthday to the King of NY. We miss you.”
Others said his “music lives on” calling him a “legend” with an “amazing voice and talent”.

Pop Smoke was found with multiple gunshot wounds after the break-in at 4 a.m.
After several robberies in houses rented by musicians, investigators believe that the house was a target of invasions.
After his death, rapper Safaree Samuels wrote, “To all of my young kings out there, keep your money in the bank and off the social media sites.
“I know some people may not be used to having a lot of money, but try your best and don’t show it on social media … I’m not going to pretend I don’t have this stage go through, but I’ve learned from it. “
Fellow rapper Blueface added, “As soon as you relax and think it’s that cool, they strike.”
Pop Smoke’s latest album was released last week, just four days before its 22nd birthday.
His mother Audrey spoke out about gun violence after his death.
She said, “At 4:00 am on February 19th, my son was taken away from me with a gun. You know it as Pop Smoke, we called it ‘Shar’.
“Because of the gun violence, I will never see my son run outside our steps and take them two at once; he will never take my hands and dance with me again; he won’t come into my room and muscled pose in the mirror.”
“Gun violence is destroying families. It has to stop.”
