New Delhi: Microsoft announced on Monday that Windows 11 users can now use Microsoft Teams chat on Windows. Microsoft Teams chat is pinned to the taskbar when Windows 11 starts.

According to the company, the new Teams experience on Windows 11 and Chat is “for personal Microsoft accounts and will only be available to individuals who use such accounts.”

“There are two different Microsoft Teams apps on Windows 11 – for personal and business purposes. The teams app marked as work or school uses the icon with the blue tile with a white letter ‘T’ in it, ”Microsoft informed.

Microsoft Teams now has 250 million monthly active users and 80 million monthly active phone users on the platform.

The company said that if you had Teams installed before upgrading your device to Windows 11, you can still use Teams for work or school as you did before the upgrade.

Earlier this year, Microsoft released new features for personal chat in teams, including Together mode, polls, and more.

The company announced last week that Windows 11 is now available worldwide through a free upgrade on eligible Windows 10 PCs and on new PCs with Windows 11 pre-installed.

Windows 11 is the first version of Windows designed for the hybrid work era.

Windows 11 comes with redesigned system tray icons and the start menu. It also adds rounded corners for all program windows and the built-in Teams chat.
