NOEL Gallagher says he would end his ten-year feud with brother Liam for £ 100 million.

Just weeks after the brothers confirmed that Oasis would release a new documentary about their iconic Knebworth gigs 25 years ago, Noel has revealed what it will take the band to reunite.

On today’s Jonathan Ross show, Noel replies to his brother Liam that he turned down £ 100m for a comeback tour.

“Why do you say ‘it’s not necessarily wrong’ – because it’s not true,” said Noel.

“There’s not £ 100m in the music business between all of us … if someone wants to offer me £ 100m now, I’ll say it now, I’ll do it.

“I’m doing this for £ 100 million. Ridiculous. But what is funny is that I think Liam actually believes what the funny is.”

When asked if he missed performing on stage with Liam, Noel said, “Not particularly no. It’s a different band. It’s a different thing.”

He adds, “I find it a little sad that there is a whole generation of children, working-class children who have nothing to buy and project it all onto a couple of 50-year-old guys. Where is the new oasis? Where is this?

“The thing about bands is that they’re hard work. It’s hard work, what we’ve done is hard work. It’s transplant. You have to graft it out. Now it’s easy to buy a laptop and have it in yours too.” make bedroom. “

When asked about his mother, who says in a documentary that she wishes her sons could settle their differences, Noel says, “We all do, but the fact is, it did and everyone moved on.

“And I speak to my mother about this topic every other day and she never mentioned it to me.”

He adds, “It was all wrapped up in youth and camaraderie and all of that.

“Once that’s over, you can’t put that genie back in the bottle. It would only be for showbiz and for a meager £ 100 million …”

Later on on the show, it is cheekily suggested that fans could set up a GoFundMe page to get the money, which Noel laughs at: “Let’s see.”

Talking about looking back at Oasis for the new documentary, Noel said, “It’s actually pretty emotional to see him.

“This amount of people, pre-internet without phones, nothing, fans at the moment with the band.

“I can see what it was all about now. You are so close [at the time].

“I [couldn’t] perceive it like other people. But yesterday I listened to it – Liam was at its all-time high and the band was. I saw it when I thought we were great, we really were.

“I don’t think about that every day. When I saw it yesterday it was really amazing. “

When asked if he has ever been mistaken for someone else, Noel says, “Every day – Liam. Every day. A day never goes by without someone shouting ‘Go on Liam’. ”

Speaking of the music industry, he says, “Record labels are making a desperate effort to find the ‘real deal’.

“If we came with our band now, the record company would separate me and Liam from the band.

“They’d say, ‘Bald man don’t need him, don’t need the other three’ and they’d base it on that and for the way the music business is, you’d be grateful to them.

“When we started the record companies worked for us. Now the artist works for the record company.”

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will release an album with the biggest hits on June 11th, Back The Way We Came: Vol 1 (2011-2021)

“I thought we should do our best in the first 10 years. I’ve been married for 10 years this year. 10 years alone, that’s a significant milestone.

The album will contain two new songs, including the single We’re On Our Way Now.

He adds of the new tracks: “I had songs that I never quite finished. They came out great. I didn’t want to do it if I didn’t have new music on it. ”

About the blocking and cancellation of performances, he said: “We had some festivals planned for the summer [in 2020]. Everything was blown out. I received messages from all of my crew – 30 of them – saying, “Thank you, this is a great gesture.”

“I called my manager and he said, ‘We paid them all to do summer gigs. Who are we? We? We didn’t pay anyone, I paid them.”

While recording a track with Dizzee Rascal in lockdown, Noel stated, “We made a tune, yes. I have no idea [what happened to it]. He answered during the lockdown and said, “Should we do something?” Sent me a punch and I sent something back … I sent it to him and he loved it and I haven’t heard from him since then … it was great.

“It’s a great tune. I think what he was rapping was lockdown. So it wouldn’t be that interesting now. It was right in the middle of the first lows. I think the moment may have passed now.”
