RIO FERDINAND bizarrely told Newcastle fans to raise £ 300million to buy out owner Mike Ashley if they hate him so much.
Only a win from 18 league games leaves the Magpies facing a third relegation from the Premier League under the despised tycoon of Sports Direct.

Desperate to sell, Ashley is currently suing the Premier League over the failed £ 300m bid led by Saudi Arabia.
And Ferdinand angered the toon army by claiming that if they are unwilling to put their money where their mouth is, they can have few complaints.
The former UK defender told his YouTube channel: “He doesn’t care what people think. It’s his club and he does what he wants.
“Like it or not, he’s the one who brings the money and he does what he thinks is right for the club.
“If the Geordies don’t like it, a lot of them hate and dislike him, but round up your money and then take over the club.”
Fans hit back on Ferdinand’s “embarrassing” suggestion on social media, with one beating him as “another good, brainless footballer”.
@ Topdog123 said, “A lot of fans are struggling to pay for their season tickets, let alone raise £ 300m to buy the club!

“Another idiot who forgets that some people work 80+ hours a week to make a living. He just played football and made more in one week than some people make in a lifetime.”
@monkslovechips wrote, “So what he (Ashley) thinks is right for the club is a likely third relegation and two near misses?”
@ TomHadwin 2 added, “He has no clue and is Ashley’s business partner, so has an incredibly biased attitude and invested interest, hence the ridiculous statements like this.”
And @PhilEames tweeted, “What a really embarrassing thing to say.”

And other fans were unhappy that Ferdinand separated Newcastle Academy’s failure to bring many first-teamers out of the Ashley regime.
A typical response came from Wiinnaldinho @ Winaldinho: “Don’t blame Ashley, get mad at the academy – you mean the academy that Ashley is in charge of?”
