NARS Casino Sunkissed Bronzing Cream ($ 38.00 for 0.67 oz.) Is a muted, medium-dark brown with subtle, warm red undertones and a matte finish. It had a buildable coverage of medium to mostly opaque (two to three coats) that was applied evenly to bare skin and faded out without too much hassle, though it wasn’t the most mixable formula I’ve worked with. It was easiest to work with bare skin or a slightly damp foundation.
The texture was light, thin, but denser and firmer in the pot so it slipped more velvety than the typical wet feeling one might expect from a cream formula. It carried well for eight hours before it noticeably faded against my skin.

Formula overview

The formula should have a “soft-matt” finish that “builds up seamlessly” and changes from “cream to powder”. It smells of the brand’s Monoi de Tahiti oil, a beach scent that was barely noticeable after application.
The consistency was denser, if not thick, so it didn’t feel very pliable, which made it easier to work with various basic products as well as with bare skin. It dried quickly to a “soft, matte” finish so it was advisable to work one area at a time as you blended the product.
They had a medium buildable cover that was evenly applied and masked out without too much effort. The colors stayed good for eight hours before noticeably fading.
