Black Friday takes place on November 26th this year, but many stores start selling early.
MSE’s Deal Predictor looks at sales data from top retailers over the past few years.
It then uses this information to predict this year’s sales dates with 81% accuracy, guess the exact day, or be “slightly off”.
But the experts say an unpredictable year and shortages mean buyers “should take a slightly bigger pinch of salt”.
Gap could go on sale Tuesday, November 23rd, offering buyers up to 50% off full price items as that discount has been on offer for the past two years.
You can now only shop online at Gap as all UK shops are closed.
Sainsbury’s Black Friday sale is also expected on the same day, with up to 25% of its Tu clothing range on sale over the past three years.
You can also get Tu clothing from Argos as they are owned by the same company. However, Argos itself may not have deals as it did in 2019 or 2020, MSE says.
Marks and Spencer is expected to start their Black Friday sales on the same day.
The exact offers are not that easy to predict, however, since last year, at up to 50%, there was a wider range than in previous years in the areas of beauty, home and fashion.
Nike usually offers a code to get money off the full-price and sale items, and MSE says the same will likely happen around November 23rd as well.
The clothing stores ASOS, H&M and Matalan are expected to release their Black Friday deals the day before on Thursday, November 25th.
And on Black Friday itself, Disney, Urban Outfitters and Apple are expected.
Don’t forget that when shopping online you may have to pay for delivery in addition to your purchase.
Of course, just because something is offered or part of a sale doesn’t mean it’s always good deal.
And if you didn’t want to buy it anyway, you don’t really save money.
