The owners of MANCHESTER CITY have expressed their interest in switching to racing – after holding talks about the takeover of the famous Shadwell racing operation.
Sheikh Mansour, who is believed to have a net worth of around £ 15 billion, launched a “preliminary investigation” following the death of Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum last March.

Sheikh Hamdam’s death at the age of 75 brought grief to the racing world and his hugely successful Shadwell operation was taken over by his daughter Sheikha Hissa.
The shipyard suggested that after the death of its leading figure, it would reduce its size.
And she said there should be a “full review of all of her activities that will result in important changes in the business.”
Chris Kennard, the UK director of Shadwell, said the United Arab Emirates’ deputy prime minister invited had been in touch about a purchase.
But the discussions at the highest level between the shipyard and the owner of the Premier League champions fell at the first hurdle.
When asked about the conversations, he said: “That won’t happen.
“There was some interest and some discussion, but nothing came off.
“There was a discussion that got nowhere.
“As our previous announcement suggests, we are in the process of reorganizing and nothing is set in stone right now.”
Sheikh Hamdan started his business in Shadwell in the 1980s.
It grew to be one of the largest and best in the world, its blue and white silk fabrics worn to victory by legends of the game like Nashwan, Battaash and current superstar Baaeed.
This season alone, horses dubbed Shadwell in the UK generated revenues of more than £ 3.8 million.
Shadwell also has a strong and successful breeding facility at Nunnery Stud in Norfolk.
There, greats like Mohaather charge a stud fee of 15,000 pounds per day, which increases the lucrative money-making potential of racing.
Although Sheikha Hissa is reducing the size of the yard, she wants to stay in racing and there are no plans to sell her stallions, according to Sky Sports.
