But one mom shared how she budgeted for Christmas by putting money aside for it every week of the year as part of a clever “fill” hack.

In a video shared on TikTok, the frugal woman – known as Sacha Renee – explains how she divides the money left over from her partner’s income after the bills are paid online.

The clip sees their “stuff” notes in pouches that represent a variety of expense categories.

This includes everything from toiletries and eating out to birthdays and Christmas.

The idea is that adding it to the pouches can save the family money all year round when they are needed.

Christmas gets its usual $ 50 – and while I know that may not matter to some people, it does matter to us

For example, while Sacha is adding $ 10 – roughly £ 7.20 – a week to her “toiletries” bag, she may not have to use the accumulated money for a while.

The trick also helps her save up for important annual events like the Christmas season.

She said, “Christmas will get the usual $ 50 – and while I know that may not matter to some people, it does matter to us.”

The experienced mother demonstrated the simple hack with a “budget folder” – each bag was labeled with its respective category – but can also use the method with normal envelopes.
