Make-up by Mario The Nudes 3 Four-Play Everyday Eyeshadow Quad ($ 25.00 for 0.2 oz.) Includes a shimmery eyeshadow, an eyeshadow topper, and two matte eyeshadows. I think the performance wasn’t as consistent with the brand’s formulas, so the shimmer and matte hues were more pigmented (which might be a pleasing thing for some) and compared to the permanent releases I’ve tried in the past , were less buildable. The topper shade was see-through as expected, but the texture and performance were so-so.

N9
N9 is a light to medium peach gold with strong, warm undertones and a matt sheen. The texture was soft, smooth and almost mushy to the touch, so there was no powderiness, but was picked up evenly with a dry brush anyway. It had an opaque paint cover that was applied evenly and worn well on top of me for eight hours.

Formula overview

The formula is said to have “high-impact gloss” that can be used “dry or wet for a light wash or an opaque color”. If you’re someone who wants really intense pigmentation with a dry brush, not all shades will be able to do it, although some in the formula were very pigmented both dry and wet.
The consistency was almost spongy, somewhat emollient, but didn’t seem overly prone to compaction in the pan, which can be a problem with more emollient formulas. It was thicker but thin, and it wasn’t stiff to work with. The eyeshadows were evenly applied to bare skin, blended well in most cases, and were very easy to apply – they were easier to apply than I think they would feel.
The slip in the formula gave them a smoother, “melted” look when applied to my skin so that they had sheen but didn’t emphasize my skin texture. They lasted between eight and nine hours with me before they faded / fainted.

N10 is a darker, copper-orange with a sparkling finish. It should have a transparent base on what it was doing and work as a topper. It had slight slippage, but it was drier than I expected, so the sparkle wasn’t as evenly distributed as it would have been ideal, even though there was minimal rainfall during application. It took about eight hours while wearing but had some impact over time.

N11 is a medium-dark taupe brown with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. It had a largely opaque color coverage paired with a soft, smooth consistency that was finely ground without being powdery. It lasted a good eight hours before it faded noticeably.

The formula is characterized by a translucency that was actually rather medium to semi-opaque and the opacity could be increased. They were soft, smooth, and velvety with lubricity but little powder, and they seemed to “melt” a little when applied to bare skin.
I would argue that they were a little more pigmented in one layer than real medium, but in practice it seemed a bit more accurate in opacity as the hues diffused evenly and spread out to medium opacity (even if they seemed halfway at first ). -opaque). They held with me for between seven and eight hours before they visibly faded.

N12 is a soft, medium-dark black with neutral to cool undertones and a matte finish. It had a semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation with a smooth, thin consistency that was mixable but not too tightly squeezed into the pan. It was a little more pigmented than marketed. It wore well for eight hours before it visibly faded.
