Makeup by Mario Dark Soft Sculpt BronzerMakeup by Mario Dark Soft Sculpt Bronzer ($ 28.00 for 0.42 oz.) Is a medium dark brown with moderate, warm – more orange – undertones and a matte finish. It had semi-opaque, buildable color coverage, so it seemed a bit more pigmented than actually marketed, but may not be a deal-breaker for everyone.
The powder was smooth to the touch, finely ground and silky with a little powder in the pan. The product is easy to pick up with a brush and apply evenly to my skin. I had no problem fading out the color, and while the finish was very matte, it didn’t emphasize the natural texture of my skin or look dry on me. It lasted a good eight hours before it faded noticeably.

Formula overview
$ 28.00 / 0.42 oz. – $ 66.67 per ounce
The formula is said to have a “soft, smooth” consistency that provides “buildable” coverage. It has a very smooth, finely ground feel with light powder in the pan, but it wasn’t enough to be messy or difficult to pick up evenly. The finish was very matte to the point where it lay a little flat against the skin and tended to absorb any glow from bare skin or base products.
This type of texture hasn’t worked well for me in the past, but luckily I haven’t had any issues with this one! The powder was applied evenly to bare skin, blended well, and didn’t accentuate the natural texture of my skin. They had a medium to semi-opaque buildable color release that lasted for about eight to nine hours on me before it visibly faded.
