MAC Step Bright Up / Alche-me Hyper Real Glow Duo ($ 38.00 for 0.28 ounces) is a medium gold with warmer, orange undertones and a vibrant sheen. It had a semi-transparent, buildable pigmentation – the brand didn’t particularly help with the pigmentation they called a “glowing payout” – that applied evenly and smoothly to bare skin.

The powder felt incredibly soft and smooth without being powdery at all. It took a good eight hours before it showed signs of fading.
