MAC Ruby Taboo lip glass ($ 19.00 for 0.1 oz.) Is a darker, orange-copper colored copper with patches of larger copper twinkle and some pinkish-red twinkle. It had a semi-sheer paint cover that could have been applied more evenly as some of the glitters were more prone to clump up and settle in my deeper lip lines. The texture was thicker, definitely sticky, but smooth and spreadable. It lasted a good five hours and was moisturizing over time.

Formula overview
$ 19.00 / 0.1 oz. – $ 190.00 per ounce
The Lipglass formula is said to be “pigmented, very shiny, and add subtle or dramatic color” that can be worn “alone, over lipstick or lipstick” and “cares for the lips”. MAC could use an update to the description as some shades are more pigmented than others, but others are more transparent and probably should be. The formula has a very glossy, high gloss finish with a light to medium weight and moderate stickiness.
I’ve found that newer lipglasses (in recent years) are smoother and not quite as sticky as the formula was many years ago. They wear me for three to six hours and are usually lightly moisturizing. MAC recently updated the color palette and packaging for the series (although the formula stayed the same). Ounce. (was 0.17 fl. oz.), which may matter to some but not to all.

MAC works like a magic lipglass ($ 19.00 for 0.1 oz.) Is a lighter pink lavender with warmer undertones and a cooler, icy pearl of lavender. It had a medium color release that was somewhat buildable, but it definitely wasn’t “pigmented” to begin with – not particularly unusual for the formula as the pigmentation varies a lot (although unfortunately the brand doesn’t state this).
The texture was smooth, moderately thick, and much stickier than most of the formulas on the market which I think are longer lasting and more comfortable to wear (e.g. moisture), but it can be uncomfortable for some. It wore well for five hours and was moisturizing over time.
