MAC Red Chili Lipstick ($ 21.00 for 0.1 oz.) Is a deep red with strong, cool blue undertones and a satin finish with barely any ruby red micro-shimmer. It had an almost opaque paint release that was applied evenly to my lips and didn’t emphasize the lip texture or gather in my lip lines.
The consistency was light, a little firmer at first, but not enough to pull or be uncomfortable to apply. It held well for over six hours, staining, and was slightly moisturizing when worn.

MAC Lipstick comes in a variety of finishes, and pigmentation and wear and tear usually depend on the finish. The sheer finishes, like Lustres, tend to only wear a few hours and have sheer coverage (as intended) and won’t dry out.
Some of the original matte paints have a stiffer, drier formula, while newer ones have a velvety silicone feel, and the latter are creamier, more comfortable to wear, and easier to apply, but most matte paints are fairly pigmented and long-lasting, although some dry.
The Amplified and Satin finishes usually have good pigmentation, a slightly creamy to moderately creamy consistency with a bit of sheen, and a moderate to long shelf life with deeper, richer hues that are worn longer. The frost and metallic finishes show the greatest variance between the colors with an opacity from semi-transparent to opaque with average wear and tear and non-drying to slightly drying formulas. All MAC lipsticks smell of vanilla, but have no discernible taste.

MAC Rusi Woo lipstick ($ 21.00 for 0.1 oz.) Is a rich, medium-dark red with cool blue undertones and a satin finish. It had an opaque pigmentation in a single stroke that stuck evenly and smoothly to my lips without tugging when applied.
The texture was light, slightly emollient, but a little firmer in the tube (it warmed up when applied) and forgiving lip texture / lip lines. It lasted well for six hours, staining, and moisturizing slightly over time.
