MAC Marrakesh-Sheer Powder Kiss Liquid Lipcolour ($ 24.00 for 0.17 oz.) Is medium in size, coppery brown with warmer undertones and a satin finish. The liquid lipstick provided complete coverage in a single layer of product that was applied evenly and sat well on my lips.
The consistency felt light and frothy, with an airy, more whipped texture that was velvety rather than overly pliable. It stayed on well for five hours and felt slightly moisturizing over time, although it didn’t meet the 10 hour wear claim.

The formula is said to be long lasting (“10 hours”) with “instant” moisture during “[blurring] Lines and [smoothing] Lips “that won’t settle, wrinkle, peel, or feel dry. The brand says it’s applied with the” hourglass-shaped applicator. ”
The texture has a velvety, thicker feel that spreads out well and feels better with a more silicone-like glide (if you’ve tried a silicone-based foundation, the feel on the lips was similar but creamier). The applicator worked well to apply and distribute the product evenly, but it collected more product than needed for my lips in a single puff of the product to the point where I felt it was detrimental to the application excessively applied.
I had better luck applying the product to my upper lip (especially around the Cupid’s bow as the applicator was better for that area) and then pinching my lips together and / or spreading the product with a fingertip and spreading it over the rest of my body Lips. This made sure that there wasn’t too much product on my lips; Too much made the product a little pill and uneven, especially in the inner area of my month, prone to teeth and sometimes lip textures / imperfections. For reference: all swatch photos are only applied with the supplied applicator.
They were pigmented, with most shades being almost opaque to opaque, but some that fell slightly below. For a more diffuse look, apply with your fingertips or just the center of your lips, then use a brush or fingertips to blow out the paint. The colors went on pretty evenly, and most of the time I found that it wasn’t. It was an overuse problem with the product (even though only one puff of product was used!), And the formula was more forgiving when applied with less product (but that was still enough to keep my lips almost completely covered to cover!).
They dull over time – as the color wore off – and are more resistant to transfer at this point, but the formula itself is more flexible, although I could definitely feel it, and has a more satin-like finish for the first couple of hours of wear. I would recommend dabbing gently on the back of your hand (this is less likely to create bits of tissue on your lips) for quicker softening and matting if desired.
The lighter shades didn’t fade as evenly and had more noticeable wear in the center of my lips, while the medium and deeper shades lasted longer and more evenly as they tended to discolor a little. Wear was between five and eight hours, but the formula didn’t provide “immediate” moisture to me, and after wearing lots of sunglasses in a row, my lips became slightly dehydrated.
