MAC Berry Tricky Lipstick ($ 21.00 for 0.1 oz.) Is a rich raspberry base with a lighter purple and fuchsia pearl. It had almost opaque paint coverage in a single layer that applied smoothly and evenly to my lips without puffing.
The texture was a bit firmer, but not dense or thick, so it was comfortable to apply and wear without slipping. It lasted a good five and a half hours, left a stain, and moisturized slightly over time.

MAC Lipstick comes in a variety of finishes, and pigmentation and wear and tear usually depend on the finish. The sheer finishes, like Lustres, tend to only wear a few hours and have sheer coverage (as intended) and won’t dry out.
Some of the original matte paints have a stiffer, drier formula, while newer ones have a velvety silicone feel, and the latter are creamier, more comfortable to wear, and easier to apply, but most matte paints are fairly pigmented and long-lasting, although some dry.
The Amplified and Satin finishes usually have good pigmentation, a slightly creamy to moderately creamy consistency with a bit of sheen, and a moderate to long shelf life with deeper, richer hues that are worn longer. The frost and metallic finishes show the greatest variance between the colors with an opacity from semi-transparent to opaque with average wear and tear and non-drying to slightly drying formulas. All MAC lipsticks smell of vanilla, but have no discernible taste.

MAC wildcard lipstick ($ 21.00 for 0.1 oz.) Is a medium dark red with cooler blue undertones and a matte finish. The texture was moderately dense, slightly creamy, but rather velvety, as it was applied evenly and smoothly, but did not slip at all. It delivered complete pigmentation in one go that lasted well for six hours, left a stain, and did not dry when worn.
