MAC Barocococa Strobe Face Glaze ($ 28.00 for 0.5 oz.) Has a translucent base with fine copper and bronze beads in a high-gloss, glossy base. The formula is said to give the “dewy, reddened sheen” that looks “translucent” and “oil-smeared”.
It’s best thought of as a tinted, glossy balm for the face with a hint of pearl and lots of shine / shine – just as marketed. As you’d expect, it attracts hairs that fly away easily, and the slightly thicker, slightly stickier consistency captures them. It’s a more easy-care product, although I know some will love this high-gloss finish, but it might suit someone looking for a more avant-garde effect rather than something they would incorporate into everyday attire for all-day outings.
The product works best on bare skin, but was workable over a foundation, although I would recommend something with sheer coverage and a brighter base. I would also leave the powder off wherever you want it on the skin. It took five hours before it moved / slipped noticeably on my face.
