LOUISE Redknapp poured £ 400,000 of her own money into her pop label and tour company after losing money during the lockdown.

The 46-year-old singer was in the red when she was forced to cancel performances last year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

According to public records, Li Lou Records was down £ 236,000 in the first 16 months while Lil Lou Recording was in debt of £ 87,625.

Companies House newspapers show the mother of two loaned her label £ 317,000 interest-free and £ 101,000 to her travel company.

Former perpetual singer Louise was forced to abandon her Heavy Love tour last year, where she would have played 11 dates across the UK.

She said to fans at the time, “Hi everyone, following the latest advice from the government, I’ve decided to cancel the rest of the shows on the Heavy Love tour.”

The star founded both companies in 2019 after splitting up with Jamie Redknapp when she decided to return to music after 16 years.

In January 2020, she released her first album in two decades, Heavy Love, after divorcing her 19-year-old husband Jamie in December 2017.

The Strictly star, who rose to fame as part of Eternal between 1992 and 1995 before gaining solo success through 2003, recently admitted that she still dreams of how her career could have continued if she hadn’t kept it on hold would have laid.

Speaking to Sheridan Smith, 39, she said on her Sheridan’s Showstoppers podcast: “I sometimes think if I hadn’t had an 18-year-old gap, I wonder how many records I might have been able to sell.”
