Both Meek and Keyshia said they had never received a check from their record labels, and Tyrese stepped in with his thoughts on owning masters.

Artists have long complained about their relationships with their record labels, particularly those related to financial problems. We have repeatedly reported on music artists who openly stated that they believe their labels have cheated on them over the years or hid their money movements, and recently Meek Mill tweeted that he was looking for some good lawyers to help him out To fix things.

“I don’t get paid with music and I don’t know how much money labels make with me !!!!!” he wrote. “I need lawyers asap !!!”

Meek added, “Are you asking the record company? How much did you spend on me as an artist? You ask how much you have earned with me as an artist? World see what these people are wearing !!! “Screenshots of the tweets went viral and Keyshia Cole stepped in to co-sign Meek’s frustrations.

“I never got a check from a record label, period,” said Keyshia. “But I was just thinking about it the other day. There’s nothing wrong with getting Audit Atterneys so you know where every dollar has gone. Trust me. A lot gets ‘lost in the sauce'”. When The Shade Room uploaded Keyshia and Meek’s post, Tyrese agreed with his opinions in the comments section.

“Most of us who signed 20 years ago should ALL REQUIRE that OUR MASTERS be returned to us,” wrote Tyrese. “Yes, I said so, by December 2022, I will have 5 of my masters from publications over the years …. Bring it up or they will keep collecting from your work.” Check it out below.
