Klopp’s amazing reaction came after Neville planned Liverpool’s involvement in the rebellious European Super League.
The Liverpool boss made an exception when ex-Man Utd defender Neville spoke of the club’s “You’ll never walk alone” anthem.
Klopp felt that Neville’s anger at the players was misdirected when he said he and his players only found out about the plans at the same time as everyone else.
Following Liverpool’s 1-1 draw at Leeds, Klopp said: “Gary Neville says you will never go alone. It should be forbidden.
“We have many rights to sing this hymn, it’s our hymn and not his hymn, and he doesn’t understand it anyway.
“They can be emotional, but I wish Gary Neville was in a hot seat somewhere and not where the most money is.
“He was at Manchester United where the most money is, Sky where the most money is.
“Don’t forget that we have nothing to do with it. We have the same information and we still have to play football.
“‘Damn the hell’ did he write that today? These things are right? This is really not okay.”

KNOCK AGAINST NEVILLE
Neville on Sunday: “I am most disgusted with Manchester United and Liverpool. Liverpool say they are the folk club, “you will never go alone”, the fan club – this is an absolute shame. “
Klopp on Monday: “Gary Neville says you will never go alone. That should be forbidden.
“We have many rights to sing this hymn, it’s our hymn and not his hymn, and he doesn’t understand it anyway.
“They can be emotional, but I wish Gary Neville was in a hot seat somewhere and not where the most money is.
“He was at Manchester United, which is where the most money is, Sky, which is where the most money is.”
Neville’s answer: “Yesterday was a passionate joke of mine to defend football.
“I’ve had enough criticism of both Manchester United and Liverpool in the last 24 hours so I don’t know what his problem is.
“He’s talking about hotseat. I’ve had a 25-year career at Manchester United, an 11-year career at Sky and I earned it. I haven’t gone where the most money is.”
“I employ 600 people in my city. I tried to employ them during a pandemic. Isn’t this a hot place for him?”
Klopp added: “At this particular moment we cannot blame the team.
“I accept the criticism when we are not playing well and I feel responsible for these things, but we have nothing to do with that.
“I really don’t want things like that because they’re not fair. I understand all the talk and I don’t like it either, but I don’t talk about other clubs like this one.”

Neville immediately replied to MNF: “I don’t know what spurred him on. Yesterday was a passionate joke of mine defending football.

“He’s talking about hotseat. I’ve had a 25-year career at Manchester United, an 11-year career at Sky and I earned it. I haven’t gone where the most money is.”
“I didn’t have a choice. Sir Alex Ferguson didn’t say ‘do you want to stay here every day?’
“I have no idea what he’s talking about.

Liverpool drew 1-1 in Leeds on Monday night amid fan anger over the Super League’s proposals.
Fans held banners in front of Elland Road and even tried to prevent the Liverpool team bus from going into the stadium.
Leeds players were also warmed up in t-shirts to protest the Euro Super League, which was officially announced late Sunday night.
Klopp was also unhappy with the shirts being left in Liverpool’s locker room before kick-off and reiterated his opposition to the new competition.
In his pre-game interview, the German said to Sky Sports: “I heard that there are pre-match jerseys, we won’t wear them because we can’t.”
“But if someone thinks they have to remind us that we deserve it to go to the Champions League, that’s a real joke and it makes me angry.
“If it was a Leeds idea, thank you very much, nobody has to remind us of it.”

Klopp added: “It’s a tough question. People aren’t happy with it. I can understand that, but I can’t say much more because we weren’t involved in any process, neither the players nor me.
“I have no problems with the Champions League. We want to qualify for the Champions League next year.
“I like the competitive element of football. I like the fact that West Ham could play in the Champions League next year. I like that they have the chance.”
“I’m not sure why the 12 clubs did that. I know that in the future some things will change in football and some things have to change in football, that’s for sure.”
“But usually you have to prepare things like that, you need time to convince. I can understand that people think that it is not right is the competitiveness that I get.
“I don’t like that we might not be in the Champions League, but if we deserve it we want to be there like everyone else.”
