The iPhone 13 may just have caused the death of the 256GB variant of the iPhone SE. According to reports, Apple could reduce production of the iPhone SE to 256GB due to the excessive competitive factor with some other models.

Hours after the launch of its highly anticipated iPhone series, Apple discontinued the iPhone SE with 256GB of storage in the Apple Store. However, the 64 GB and 128 GB variants are still available.

According to Mashable India, the second generation iPhone SE launched in 2020 is currently only available with 64GB or 128GB of storage; a change that likely happened after the iPhone 13 launch event on Tuesday.

Among other available legacy models such as the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, and iPhone 11; Apple continues to list the iPhone SE in its online shop.

According to reports, the company could cut production of the iPhone SE 256GB due to the excessive competitive factor in some other models.

In this regard, users can still purchase the model from third-party suppliers.
