Swiss Re has expanded its partnership with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to develop a social and open digital workplace that uses the cloud to drive collaboration and innovation.

The digital workplace is created with Microsoft 365 technologies and managed by the Microsoft business unit of TCS, an IT services, consulting and business solutions company.

As a provider of insurance, reinsurance and other forms of insurance-based risk transfer, Swiss Re anticipates and manages risks ranging from natural disasters to climate and cyber to property and casualty. The group will improve its operational efficiency through state-of-the-art processes in end-to-end workplace support.

For example, TCS will develop self-healing and self-help operations to ensure the automation of standard processes and enable “out-of-the-box” endpoints with a dynamic corporate experience.

The workplace will provide an insight-based user experience for more than 18,000 end users.

The expanded partnership is particularly focused on accelerating the innovation pipeline within Swiss Re to consolidate the group’s hybrid collaboration strategy.

Youngran Kim, Group Chief Technology Officer at Swiss Re, said: “We have partnered with TCS to recognize their insurance experience, strategic partnership with Microsoft, and proven track record in successfully executing similar large transformation programs, including with Swiss Re to use.”

“Together with TCS and Microsoft, we want to provide our employees with a seamless and secure digital workplace experience.”

Siva Ganesan, global head of the Microsoft business unit at TCS, adds: “The key to building an innovative, future-proof organization is a vibrant digital workplace that encourages creativity and collaboration while keeping data and interactions secure.”

“TCS is excited to expand its longstanding partnership with Swiss Re to build a new digital workplace using Microsoft technologies and help them accelerate their innovation and growth.”
