A MILLIONAIRE who went straight to London’s Salt Bae restaurant from McDonald’s said it wasn’t worth the money.

33-year-old tech entrepreneur Chiraag Suchak visited Nusr-Et for lunch after eating a chicken sandwich at McDonald’s.

Speaking to MyLondon, Suchak said he was just finishing his cheap meal when his friend texted him to let him know that he had a reservation at Salt Baes restaurant.

“The thing is, I wasn’t even that hungry because I had lunch before,” he said.

When asked where he was before going to the upscale eatery, he said, “McDonald’s. I arrived at Nusr-Et from McDonald’s.”

He explained how he thought he would no longer have the opportunity to visit the restaurant and went with them.

“I would say the food is good but not worth the price they charge,” he told MyLondon.

“I was definitely better. My friends who had the steak and golden burger said the same thing.

“You really strive for the experience, the atmosphere, and a selfie with the chef.

“You pay to see Nusr-Et and the way he cuts the steak with his black gloves and he does that when he pushes the burger.”

It comes when Internet icon of Turkish origin Nusret Gökçe comes under fire for the extravagant prices at his upscale Knightsbridge restaurant – with a gold-coated steak for £ 850 and a burger for £ 100, both of which are on sale.

The menu was blown over the price of its steaks after a customer was left with a staggering £ 37,000 bill.

The hungry group also spent £ 400 on 16 baklavas, £ 14 on sauteed broccoli and £ 12 on a side dish of mashed potatoes.

The bill payer even paid £ 9,100 for a vintage bottle of Petrus from 1996 and £ 19,900 for two bottles of Petrus from 2003 – bringing her receipt to a whopping £ 37,023.10.

Meanwhile, brutal reviews of Nusr-et have challenged its value for money, with one angry diner saying the prices were “overrated” and the food was “inferior.”

The Trip Adviser reviewer urged others not to get “addicted to this restaurant scam” and compared it to a “kebab shop”.

He wrote: “I thought it was a joke … unfortunately it is not! Bad food and massively inflated prices.

“The steaks were barely edible and the prices are watery.

“I’ve had better kebabs in Knightsbridge for under £ 7.00. The whole experience was shocking.”
