Rare HDB apartments on the market typically fetch sky-high resale prices.

This time around, a 5 bedroom loft unit on SkyTerrace @ Dawson was recently sold for over $ 1.32 million, setting a new record for HDB resale homes in Queenstown.

The 122 m² “penthouse” unit extends over the 42nd and 43rd floors and has three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

But the highlight of the unit is the picturesque view from the floor-to-ceiling windows.

While there are a total of 758 units in SkyTerrace @ Dawson, the five-room loft units are in great demand as there are only 26 of them on the property.

According to HDB records, the last sale of a similar unit changed hands in June for $ 1.09 million.

“The homeowner had plans to sell the apartment earlier this year, but put his plans on hold as he was concerned about exposing his elderly mother to the risk of Covid-19,” said Lois Ho, deputy group leader at PropNex Realty. in an interview with Lianhe Wanbao on Saturday (November 27th).

The device was launched in mid-October and attracted 15 potential buyers in the two weeks of viewing. Seven of them made offers for the apartment, Ho said.

With its central location, panoramic view and airy furnishings, the apartment was very popular with potential buyers.

According to her, a buyer who was very interested in the unit made multiple offers until they sealed the deal.

However, a five-bedroom apartment in Bishan’s Natura Loft sold in October still holds the record for the most expensive resale apartment at $ 1.36 million.
