Usually movement leads to changes in where I do my makeup (based on lighting, positioning and availability of rooms, other people I live with) than the actual routine.
But one big change came when I moved from a small town that lived with my parents to a big town at university. In my small town, wearing makeup was somehow frowned upon, considered superficial, I wore minimal makeup and mostly on special occasions. In a big city, almost every girl wore makeup; I didn’t start from scratch, but in about a year I’ve done almost no makeup on an almost full face (it took me another year to start brewing … oh … the times before brown products put on Must have been 😅).
When I moved to California from Europe, the biggest change I made was adding SPF primers and using SPF retouching powders. The sunburn is big here, I have to make sure that I use extra protection.
Also, because of the dry air, I started using less powder. Though I’ll probably never give up setting makeup with powder and a matte look.
