Guntur: Tallam Sahil (17), comes from the Amaravati mandal of the Guntur district and pioneered two software innovations that are having a phenomenal impact on his Indian and American communities in California, USA.
Sahil is now an NRI and has deep roots in the Guntur district. He grew up in the state of California and used drones to conduct research in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. He has worked to forge a seed alliance between field and seed. He also did research on public safety, especially in educational institutions, as the gun culture is very common in California.
He pointed out the need for strict surveillance and security in schools because he was in an area used to gun cultures.
After a series of incidents in the United States, he developed software that could detect anyone on the school premises with a firearm like a gun or a pistol or something unusual. He set up such a school camera system and received praise from the faculty. A software-based micro-camera system was presented as an “integrated object recognition project” at San Ramon Dougherty Valley High School in California, where he was studying.
A connected camera scans and sniffs out any dangerous deadly weapon that can be secretly hidden from people moving in the designated area. He sharpened his mind with his first invention and continued his research on public safety and drones useful in agriculture.
