The formula is said to be “moisture rich” with a “glowing sheen” that “provides sheer color”. The brand went further, describing the cover as “semi-transparent paint with a brilliant sheen”. The shades had semi-sheer to medium coverage, often easy to build up, so it was enough pigment to look like something when applied, but definitely let the natural lip color come through (so your mileage may vary if you have more pigmented lips than I). .

They have a moderate, sweet floral scent (the brand says “floral scent with violet notes and a soft, fruity scent”) and I felt like I could taste the scent occasionally, although it was much less noticeable and present compared to the original Lipstick range (many years ago). I could definitely smell the scent with the product applied, so it was stronger than with some formulas where the scent is only noticeable in the packaging / tube.
