Rihanna learned about fragrances from her mother, who worked in the Barbados beauty industry. Ultimately, she appreciated the deeply personal ritual of applying perfume on a daily basis and developed her signature approach of layering different scents to create something unique. This passion for fragrances eventually led her to the fragrance capital of the world, Grasse, France, where she worked with world-renowned LVMH master perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud on the creation of Fenty Eau de Parfum, a unique fragrance that cannot be categorized into one traditional olfactory family. She personally selected each ingredient in its purest form as a thoughtful representation of its essence, memories and experiences. This unique blend combines magnolia and musk with mandarin, blueberry and a hint of Bulgarian rose absolute, geranium and patchouli.
