It is good news in terms of financial savings and cash for small traders with sales of up to Rs 5 lakh per year in the state of Haryana. The Haryana government said Tuesday it had decided to give small traders with sales up to Rs 5 lakh per year a one percent market fee waiver.
An official spokesman said Prime Minister Manohar Lal Khattar approved a proposal on the matter. He said necessary changes would be made in the Haryana Agricultural Produce Markets (General) Rules, 1962.
How can I request a refund?
Refund can be requested by any small trader who would submit a final annual statement to the Market Committee at the close of a fiscal year stating that their total annual turnover from sales of agricultural products in Haryana was less than Rs 5 lakh in the previous year.
He was entitled to a refund of up to one percent market fee on this turnover if he deposited a market fee in a market committee in the country, the spokesman added.
Previously, Haryana Prime Minister Manohar Lal Khattar had spread the New Year’s greetings to the public, warning people not to remain vigilant despite a declining trend in coronavirus cases in the state.
“It’s a relief that coronavirus cases in the state are now gradually declining, but we still have to take precautions,” Khattar tweeted. “May this New Year pave the way for happiness, prosperity and progress in your life,” he added.
