Vivo and Poco have announced the extension of the product warranty for their devices to provide much-needed relief to customers who have been unable to repair their smartphones due to the lockdown in many states. The Chinese smartphone manufacturers have extended the warranty of their devices by up to two months.

Poco has extended the warranty for Poco brand smartphones by two months. On Wednesday (May 12), the Xiaomi brand announced that Poco had extended the warranty of the products by two months if a customer’s smartphone warranty expires in May or June of this year.

Poco India also announced that the company is canceling all of its launch events in May 2021 to take note of the worsening COVID-19 crisis in India. “We are pausing our launches as we hope the situation improves. We will keep you informed of further developments,” said the company.

Meanwhile, Vivo took to Twitter on Thursday (May 13) to announce the extended warranty for its customers in lockdown regions across the country. BBK Electronics’ smartphone brand announced that it will extend its warranty by 30 days for all products in areas that have been closed due to lockdowns.

The renewal is calculated from the day the company’s service center reopens in each city. Vivo also offers its customers a free pick-and-drop service for cell phones. However, the availability of the service depends on the respective conditions.
